Deviation Actions
If you've been working in art-stuff as long as I have, mistakes, goof-ups and huge setbacks are open invites to creative opportunities. I'm hoping that this is one of those. Recently, my computer was taken in for much needed repairs, which coincided with a up and coming day-job change. I couldn't afford much. Well as it turned everything on the my poor PC had worn out. Power supply, hard disc, video driver had all been replaced. The motherboard is on its last legs and could give-out at any moment. After reinstalling ally my graphic software, most struggle to work. Photoshop and 3d are pretty much out for creative freedom. The only thing left working well is Adobe Illustrator. I was hoping to develop Matt painting skills, and that is just not looking good right now. So I am now experimenting in vector. The challenge now is getting inspired and relearning new and old skills. Nothing is being submitted right now, just playing and trying things. Could that creative explosion be waiting around the corner? Or am I just biding my time. Just have to wait and see.
I finally found him!
At Long last I found him. One of the main influences of my art that goes back to the early eighties. Well, not all my art, but lots of it. Long before I was introduced to others like Giger, this guy spoke to me, I may have been one of the only people who got him (or at least in my own mind). Mark Prent, a Canadian artist. I saw a small picture in an art magazine advertising his show, found more small pics, then a documentary, and eventually got to one of his shows and started picking out his art elsewhere.

The Social will continue
The Schizoid Social will continue, but I need a break for a while. Lots of assents ready to go, can't wait, but life is crazy and busy and I need, right now simpler projects to kept the juices going.
The Social will be bigger and better with special guests, more fascinating factory places, in fact it will be an all out Gala!

Updates and anti-social compositions
Believe it or not, my current stemmed by wondering if a black pit in the
middle of the image would be awesome anti-social composition studies. There is
a lot more too these images, true. Too much to talk about without gallons of alcohol, in our bellies sitting on an old rotting dock on tiny northern isolated lake.
Anyhoo, a good many of my old art teachers would be grinding their teeth over my abuses in composition. Fortunately, just as many of my old art teachers would be delighted. ...--I FREAK-EN love ART!

I wish you a creative explosion! Good tools are needed too, though. I hope you'll get them back eventually. I'm pretty frustrated with my computer too. It's 7 years old and gradually running out of steam.
